A charming country village scene decorates the top of this compact, so very very British! Thatched houses line the road, with a castle in the background, climbing roses cascading down the stone walls. A mother and her two children stand in the lane, obviously welcoming father home, as he rides towards them on his work horse. Inside the mirror is excellent, and the sifter remains, with traces of loose powder. The back of the compact is brass, and in nice condition with one shallow dent.
