Wilhelm I was King of Prussia from 1861 to 1888 and became the first German Emperor (Kaiser) in 1871. His Queen and Empress (Kaiserin) was Princess Augusta of Saxe-Weimar. Both are normal CDV size and in good condition with some foxing on each card, as shown. The Prussian royal crest is imprinted on the back of both cards. His has number 1001 printed below "Wilhelm I., deutecher Kaiser" and her card is numbered 1002 below "Augusta, deutsche Kaiserin."

Colorless glass miniature lamp base with molded Greek Key design around outside edges of font and foot. Old glass with internal bubbles here and there. Little lamps like this were the forerunners of today's night-lights. They held enough fuel to stay lit through the night.
