This very unusual Hobe' Brooch has a superb shell Cameo set in the center. The Cameo is beautifully carved, especially in the curls of the hair, so skillfully that the surface appears to be as smooth as glass. I believe this piece is from the late 1930s or later. The bow is made from handwrought Sterling Silver and is appliqued with 1/20 14K gold filled or Vermeil leaves and petite silver roses.
