Published in 1996 by the Museum of Modern Art in New York, this soft cover book is a retrospective of the work of Roy DeCarava. His photographs, the majority taken in his native New York City, capture life as he knew it. His mother was an immigrant from Jamaica and he was born in Harlem in 1919. He makes Harlem and New York City come to life in this book. The condition of the book is very good. This hard back book, with dust jacket, was published in 1989 by Aperture Books to accompany exhibitions of Robert Adams' photographs of the American West. The photographs in the book are from 1965 to 1986. The book also contains an essay written by Adams entitled, In the American West is Hope Possible. The book is in very good condition. This hardcover book with dust jacket, published in 1991 by Rizzoli International Publications Inc., contains the photographic work of Walker Evans during the years of 1927 through 1948. His travels and work are from New York to Havana, Cuba to the Southern United States. His photographs have been called by some critics as the height of social documentary. This soft cover book, published in 1994 by the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, is a retrospective of the work of photographer, Dorothea Lange (1895-1965). This is an excellent book and contains many photographs detailing Ms. Lange's work during the 1930s and 1940s. Everyone should recognize Plate 43 (see picture)--the careworn face of a migrant mother.
