Large Pitcher and Bowl made by the Erwin Pottery Company of Erwin Tennessee. Erwin Pottery was founded in 1958 by Ray and Negatha Peterson. The Petersons worked for Blue Ridge Pottery before it went out of business in 1957. Reference: "The Collector's Guide to the Smaller East Tennessee Area Potteries" by W. Allison Burnette, Jr. Handpainted in a floral pattern of pink and blue by Thelma Garland, well known Blue Ridge Pottery artist. Thelma has signed both pieces on the bottom.
