Victorians used a Hair Receiver to collect hair in. They took their hair out of the brushes they used, and put it in the small Jars. They used it for wigs, or to make hair bracelets out of. The 2 1/2" hair receiver has been lovingly well used and does have some character flaws. There is a small scratch on the top and a few dents on the rim of the silver.
