This exquisite 12 1/2" cake plate exudes romance and fine taste, with its gallery of sumptuous red and pink roses, softened on a bed of pale green leaves, and surrounded with a deep gold trim. The center gold scroll-work has a golden fleur-de-lys border. The backstamp is from the Frank Neukirchner Porcelain Works in Waldershof Germany, and this mark was used between 1916 and 1977.
