Shades of Scheherazade! This single rectangular ceramic tile has a bas-relief hand-painted and heavy crackled glazed design of a horseman, the rider wearing traditional grab, while holding an over-sized bird in flight. I have seen similar tiles which are represented as being from the 1800's. I have no idea if this tile dates back as far as that period, but it has the appearance of an older piece.
