A fine, turn of the 20th century Gorham silver plate ladle in a very plain, Colonial pattern, this ladle is engraved with a script "M" at the head of the handle. It is 11" long and 3.5" across the bowl. Condition is excellent: light, all-over wear, as one would expect on a 100 year-old piece of silver. There are three small spots of bare metal on the back of the handle, where it rested against the rim of the tureen. Otherwise fine. A fine set of small Mid-century Modern silverplate candleholders by the Danish company Treidar. They consist of a conical foot with a triangular-shaped bobeche with rounded corners. These candle holders accept the small Danish-style candles which are about 0.5" in diameter. They're 2.5" in diameter and 1.25" tall. Nozzles are 0.5" in diameter. A fine set of small Mid-century Modern Danish silverplate candlesticks. They consist a bean-shaped bobches supported on three feet, which in turn supports the nozzle. A little comport or footed candy dish by Farberware. It is made of chromed metal and "apple juice" colored Bakelite. The overall shape, from the shallow bowl with the knurled rim to the fluted bakelite stem is all pure Art Deco, and the piece unquestionably dates to the 1930's. is 3.25" tall and 5.125" in diameter at the top.
